This blog is from Democratic representative Joe Baca. He talks about how Congress could not pass any substantial bill during this past year. I think his line of, “It is critical that the President and Congress work in a bipartisan way to pass an immigration reform bill worthy of the American people” is very important because it shows that many Congressmen are trying to create immigration bills that would help, not hurt, the American people. I think that immigration is a very tough subject, especially for the legislative branch to deal with. However, I think something needs to be done fast about the immigration problem that is present today in our country. I think that if people start to push their representatives and senators to do really push the bills through Congress then this would help to get bills passed faster. We need a new immigration system and that reform needs to happen fast.
